Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2, 1985) is an American actress. Her nominations for Emmys and Golden Globes for her performance in Fargo Season 1 in the role of Molly Solverson. Tolman was raised with three older siblings and one younger. Early in her life, Tolman's family moved to England. They stayed there until she was four years old. She was in Oklahoma for 5 years, and then West Texas before moving to Sugar Land. In the year she turned 10years old, Fort Bend Community Theatre began offering acting lessons. Clements High School graduated her in the year 2000. Baylor University gave her a degree in The Bachelor of Fine Arts, Theatre Performance. Her move to Dallas following her college graduation and became the Second Thought Theatre's first members. It was in Chicago, Illinois in 2009 she studied performance in The Second City Training Center. Tolman became famous during 2014 when Tolman was a part of FX's Fargo. Fargo is a 1996 Coen Brothers movie, featured Billy Bob Thornton (as Molly Solverson), Martin Freeman (as Bob Odenkirk) and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman's performance in the role of Minnesota cop Molly Solverson was praised by Vanity Fair, who wrote: "She calmly and confidently stole the whole show". Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for a movie/ministry, and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her performance.
