Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons, as an offensive tight end within the National Football League. He is considered to be one of the top American tight ends ever and holds the NFL record for having the highest number of receiving yards of all tight ends. He is third in all time for the amount of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, a former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Tight End is currently a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez has been anchoring FOX NFL KICKOFF for the past few years. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame hour show that airs prior to FOX NFLSUNDAY. The show airs at 11:00 AM ET every Sunday during NFL season.
On the 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign with the Falcons for a two-year $14 million deal despite claiming that the Falcons would let him go at the end of 2013. Following the retirement of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez was the leader of the NFL's active players in receiving yards.
